Pallidochromis is a ray-finned fish genus in the family cichlidae. It is monotypic, containing only the species Pallidochromis Tokolosh. It was first recognized as a Species likely to belong to a new genus of cichlid in 1991 by Mark Smith, and was formally described by Turner in 1994, who created a new genus name for this cichlid.
